Namaste Chair

The Namaste chair was built as an exploration of celebrating upholstery. After contemplating why we use upholstery – for comfort, insulation, soundproofing, covering – I strove to create a chair that exposed upholstery instead of hiding it. This led to searching for a soft material that would be relatively easy to clean, which brought me to using yoga mats.
